Galaxy Burger and Beyond, a pop-up fast food and science fiction fan experience that’s the perfect adventure for the whole family, will launch at the Springfield Mall on Friday, January 29 through February 7.
“Galaxy Burger was created in response to the pandemic,” says Joe McCullough, Galaxy Burger founder and CEO. “We wanted to create a family-friendly activity that would also be compliant with COVID protocols, while attracting people to the mall to support the businesses here that are struggling.”
As part of extensive COVID-19 safety protocols, tickets are timed to every 30 minutes. Immediately after arrival, guests have 30 minutes to enjoy pre-ordered meals in the restaurant where they may have a burger under the galactic weapons display, or even eat at the table where Han shot Greedo.
After fueling up, it’s time to blast off into five adventure zones, where guests have up to two hours to explore Q Bar, an 18-ft tall AT-AT, a 1:1 scale cockpit of the Millennium Falcon, a Star Trek Transporter replica, Iron Man's Hall of Armor and more. There are plenty of photo opportunities, and cosplay attire is encouraged.
At the conclusion of their tours, guests may visit partner vendors in the mall for additional merchandise and discounts.
Each ticket purchased will be entered into a drawing conducted Feb. 7 to win a Star Wars helmet hand-painted especially for the event.* Tickets start at $47 for adults/$37 for kids ages 2-7 and include: choice of main dish, side, and a drink. VIP packages also available. Children under 2 get in free with no meal provided (ticket required). A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Eastern Pennsylvania Robotics Alliance. *Winner is not required to be present on Feb. 7. Free tickets for children under 2 not eligible for prize giveaway.
