Description
Visit the Plantation July 4-7th to celebrate the birth of American Independence! The farm will be open each day from 11:00am to 4:00pm (last admission at 3:00pm.) Visitors can tour the farm and c. 1720 farmhouse. At 12:30pm and 2:30pm we will read the Declaration of Independence, followed by a burning of an effigy of King George III. Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic lunch!
Thursday, July 4th: Guests on this day can roast s'mores over our Liberty Bonfire, and children can design their own flag.
Friday, July 5th: Children can make corn husk dolls to take home.
Saturday, July 6th: Visitors can dip their own candles to take home.
Sunday, July 7th: Make paper and sign a copy of the Declaration of Independence with a real quill pen.
Cost
Admission is $10.00 for adults, $6.00 for ages 4-12 and 65+. Guests 3 and under and members are free.How
