Independence Day Celebration

July 4th, 10am - 12pm

Media, PA - Barrall Field

Details: Annual Media Borough Independence Day Celebration on Thursday July 4 from 10am-12pm.  It is a day of food, fun, and entertainment. Live performance by Silly Joe. There will be a water slide, and games for the kids. There will also be a bike decorating contest for those that wish to participate.

Movie Night - National Treasure

July 4th, 8:15pm

Glen Providence Park, Media, PA

Details: Bring a blanket or chair, and relax on the hillside for a movie under the stars! Opening with shorts from the Media Film Festival, followed by National Treasure, the historical treasure hunt involving the Declaration of Independence.

4th of July Parade and Celebration

July 4th, 10am

Thornbury Township, Glen Mills

Details: Get your float ready and participate in the parade - all are welcome to participate!  Decorate your bikes, create your own unique float, enter your antique car!  Please, no off-road vehicles.  Prizes will be awarded at the park.

Marple Newtown 4th of July Parade

July 4th, 10am

West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, Pa

Details: The parade begins at 10am at St. Alban's Circle heading East down West Chester Pike to Broomall Fire Co. Rain Date 7/6

**We want as many people as possible to enjoy the parade. The Marple Newtown 4th of July Parade committee has established a Parade Quiet Zone for individuals sensitive to loud sounds. It will stretch a short distance along West Chester Pike from Evergreen Ave. to Ann Rd. in Broomall. In this zone sounding sirens and blowing air horns will be prohibited.

Independence Day Celebrations at Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation

July 4-7th, 11am - 4pm

Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation, Newtown Square, PA

Details: Visit the Plantation July 4-7th to celebrate the birth of American Independence!  The farm will be open each day from 11:00am to 4:00pm (last admission at 3:00pm.)  Visitors can tour the farm and c. 1720 farmhouse.  At 12:30pm and 2:30pm we will read the Declaration of Independence, followed by a burning of an effigy of King George III.  Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic lunch!.
